Individual Memberships

Individuals who choose to become members of NORD receive several benefits in addition to the satisfaction of knowing they have helped people with rare disorders. The levels of individual membership, and the benefits of each, are as follows:

BASIC INDIVIDUAL MEMBERSHIP

With your Basic Membership you will receive:

• Three free reports from NORD's Rare Disease Database during membership year
• The opportunity to participate in NORD's Networking Program
• Reduced registration fee for NORD's Annual Conference
• Opportunity to become actively involved in NORD's Volunteers in Public Policy Program

Basic Membership @ $30

"FRIEND" INDIVIDUAL MEMBERSHIP

With your Friend Membership you will receive:

• Five free reports from NORD's Rare Disease Database during membership year
• The opportunity to participate in NORD's Networking Program
• Reduced registration fee for NORD's Annual Conference
• Opportunity to become actively involved in NORD's Volunteers in Public Policy Program
• Annual subscription to the Orphan Disease Update newsletter

Friend Membership @ $50

"CONTRIBUTING" INDIVIDUAL MEMBERSHIP

With your Contributing Membership you will receive:

• Ten free disease reports available during the membership year
• The opportunity to participate in NORD's Networking Program for an individual or family
• Reduced registration fee for NORD's Annual Conference
• Opportunity to become actively involved in NORD's Volunteers in Public Policy Program
• Annual subscription to the Orphan Disease Update newsletter

Contributing Individual Membership @ $100

In addition, for professionals such as teachers, nurses, physicians, and genetic counselors who represent an institution or agency, NORD offers the opportunity to participate at the following level:

PROFESSIONAL COLLEAGUE

The categories listed above are for individuals, and all correspondance must be sent to a home address.

This category is available for healthcare professionals, social workers, nurses, educators, and librarians. It is designed to assist professionals who are providing information and referrals to the rare disease community. All correspondence must be sent to a business address.

As a Professional Colleague, you will receive:

• Six free disease reports available during the membership year
• 10% discount on the NORD Resource Guide
• Reduced registration fee for NORD's Annual Conference
• Annual subscription to the Orphan Disease Update newsletter

Order Professional Colleague @ $75

It's important to remember that the money raised through NORD memberships is needed to support all of NORD's programs and services, and therefore cannot be restricted to particular diseases.
